MARIE MUNK

Marie Munk (1988) was born in Denmark, and currently lives and works in Copenhagen. She received her MA in Mixed Media from the Royal College of Art in London in 2016. Marie Munk is an interdisciplinary artist, working with sculpture, installation, video and performance. She exhibits both solo and in collaboration with artist Stine Deja. In her artistic work, Marie Munk examines the importance of physical presence and interaction in our „mixed reality“. Through simulation of biological intimacy, she provokes people to reflection in an increasingly technological world. With uncanny skin-like silicone and well-known design aesthetics, Marie Munk creates alternative realities that question current trends in society.
